Billed as the one-stop shop for market intelligence, task order management, capture, and proposal workflows for government contractors, we wanted to learn more about NextStage, a tool that automates the busy-work of GovCon business development. Who better to weigh in than human centered software and digital services firm Softrams’ Bryce Golwalla, Chief Strategy Officer and Andrew Hand, Director of Growth and Strategy.

Login for the Day

Simplifying the process of searching opportunities, bolstered by plugins that seamlessly bring additional data into the view, and into your focused pipeline makes NextStage both efficient and effective. “We’ve used a lot of CRM tools but to have everything in one package is a bonus. We can login and spend the rest of the day working right here, doing market research, seeing our pipeline, forecasts and being able to manage resources across the organization based on that complete view.”

The added flexibility to focus what and how much is seen, to have a tool specifically designed for GovCon leaders to move from discovery through proposal and to know relative position within the pipeline is unique.

Time Savings

Combining disparate processes driven by teams with varied focuses, driving distinct bits of intel, NextStage becomes the single source of truth. “Gate review used to take a lot of time, including pulling information into decks, making changes as needed. Maintaining this single tool as the source of truth provides a timeline view we have not seen before. We can zoom out to see overlaps, where competing priorities may be at any time. The advantage for us in capacity planning is incredible.”

Described as intuitive, the NextStage tool is quickly adopted as second nature. “It’s so easy we slid into autopilot making changes, adding notes… and it’s all there. It was a quick and organic change of behavior we could not have expected.

Next to None

Providing support from day one, the NextStage team helps clients take what may be multiple disparate ways of doing business, bringing them together under the singular umbrella. “From the day they took our data to get us set up they have been by our side, answering questions, providing a high-level of responsiveness and support as needed.”

This level of service is not surprising given that NextStage built its tool specifically for and based on feedback from the GovCon community. “Our first interaction with them was not a sales pitch but asking for input. This team is passionate about what they built, receptive to feedback and looking to continue to improving to meet this changing landscape.”

Unlike other tools built for the masses, and for mass revenue, that NextStage is specifically built, flexible in its ability to be customized, deliberately intuitive to the government contracting timeline and processes will support its continued growth and success.

“NextStage is over and above when it comes to user experience. As software builders this is very important to us and like excels in what it delivers like nothing we have seen before.”

I TOTALLY agree! It was actually a pleasure to use this amazing capability and tool. I like the built in workflow and the APIs with Outlook, GovWin, etc.
