FHWA Sources Sought: Advanced Crash Analysis Technical Support Services

The Contractor must furnish technical crash analysis and transportation engineering research support services in support of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Office of Safety, Research and Development (HRDS), Roadway Departure Team, at the Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center (TFHRC).

The scope of this contract includes the following:

• The Contractor must conduct fundamental and applied research in support of the missions of the FHWA, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Department of State (DOS), and potentially other Government agencies.
• The Contractor must analyze technical, deployment, logistical, and administrative issues and provide technical advice, recommendations, and technical support to the FHWA.
• The Contractor must develop and apply modeling and other analytical techniques, which may involve considerations of all types of vehicles, different roadway and roadside conditions, varying impact conditions (e.g., speed and angle of crash), and various occupants …
