The CIO-SP3 and CIO-SP3 Small Business contracts are a viable option for the IT services and solutions needs for all federal agencies. The current contract period of performance (POP) expires on April 29, 2025. NITAAC has received approval to extend the current contract for 12 additional months which now extends the POP through April 29, 2026. This will ensure continuous resource and infrastructure support to all federal agencies. Contractors should receive the SF-30 modification to extend the contract no later than February 7, 2025.
Specifically to CIO-SP4, our program actively supports the protests, disputes and appeals process afforded by FAR Part 33 but would also like to highlight the following excerpt from the CIO-SP4 solicitation and note the possibility for an open season/ramp-on period post-award of the CIO-SP4 GWAC:
SECTION H: SPECIAL CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS
H.2 Ramp-on Procedures
The PCO will periodically review the total number of contractors to ensure adequate competition for task orders throughout the period of performance. Over time, the total number of contractors may fluctuate due to various reasons including industry consolidation, significant changes in the marketplace or advances in technology, general economic conditions, or other reasons.
If the PCO determines that it is in the best interest of the government to open the GWAC to new contractors, the PCO has the discretion to announce an open season at any time during the effective period of the GWAC but no earlier than three years from date of award.
