The objective of the Platform is to provide Agency-wide users, including onsite contractors, with effective access to technical standards and the standards’ metadata from various Standards Developing Organizations (SDOs), consisting of:

The Technical Standards Platform requires a user base of 8,000 to 12,000 active users. It is critical that the Contractor’s Platform can support the necessary bandwidth required to access/download standards with minimum latency. This is critical because NASA programs and projects rely on technical standards and specifications, lessons learned, application notes, and other information accessible in the system to evaluate, select, and use in space flight activities. Technical standards are also used by safety and mission assurance, information technology, and health and medical personnel and must be accurate and accessible for use.
