This clinical informatics specialist and pediatric cardiologist with many years of experience with military and VA health information systems has taken on a new role through which he will help advance VA’s data management strategy to optimize services for Veterans and enhance VA collaboration with Military Health and other health care partners.
John Scott is now listed as Interim VHA Chief Data Officer.
This position has been established as part of the VHA’s Digital Health Office. In this role he will lead the development of a VHA central office to support the VHA Data Governance Council and coordinate the implementation of our data strategy within VHA.
