The contractor shall provide support services within the following functional areas:
Functional Area 1: Platform Operations and Maintenance (O&M) All agreement holders shall leverage the existing Enterprise Web Application Platform and Services Platform, and Technical Support Requirements include 24/7 support for all websites:
- As of today, the eWAPS Platform is On Prem. In the future, the USDA will either stay On Prem or move to Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (AWS EKS).
- 24 months (12-month base period and 12-month option period) of security patches for Drupal core and contributed modules for each Drupal 11 and 12.
- Technical ability and technical knowledge to work in various platform environments: eWAPS PaaS environment, and AWS or Microsoft Azure Government Cloud environment …
Functional Area 2: Web Application Development All agreement holders shall leverage the existing Enterprise Drupal Web Content Management Platform, and defined governance to build and deploy new sites/applications using the most current versions of the Linux-based, open-source technologies of Drupal, Symfony, Jekyll and/or other compiled static website software. This shall incorporate the Enterprise Platform best practices, along with Government approved recommended platform and workflow modifications, which could be provided by the Government, partnering organizations or vendors, to ensure the solution supports the various and complex sites that will need to reside on the platform …
