The Air Force Program Office is in the process of developing an acquisition strategy for a follow-on professional services support contract. We are seeking a reliable and experienced partner for outsourced IT solutions for our financial system operating in a classified environment. Our current system utilizes custom code and requires a development team to build new functionality. We are looking for a partner who is well-versed in agile methodologies and uses DevSecOps principles to ensure efficient, safe, and effective software development and delivery.
The staff for this engagement is a combination of embedded personnel for interactive client positions in the DC Metropolitan Area with other personnel in a contractor-supplied space. The customizations to the COTS software are documented in DOORS and we seek a partner who can modernize the existing code to eliminate recurring issues.
We require Linux expertise and experience, including Kubernetes. Experience upgrading a Commercial Off the Shelf Enterprise Resource Planning (COTS ERP) system from MS to Linux is a plus. Ability to keep systems modern over the longer horizon by employing emerging capabilities such as robot process automation (RPA) tools and/or artificial intelligence (AI) bots when appropriate.
Our helpdesk is manned during the business week and utilizes a ticketing system which also is used in the development group to manage changes to the various customizations and new capabilities as needed. System administrators are required, as are information security personnel, to manage the Domain on which the financial software resides.
Due to security classification, neither a draft, nor finalized Performance Work Statement (PWS) is available at this time. A future industry day is anticipated, but not scheduled at this time.
