US Coast Guard C5ISC seeks Microsoft SME for enterprise applications and information systems infrastructure support need

The United States Coast Guard Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber and Intelligence recently detailed an upcoming need for delivery of infrastructure support services for the enterprise applications and information systems overseen by the USCG C5ISC, aimed at augmenting their functionality. The primary objective is to sustain the functionality of each product and service line, with an emphasis on improving engineering activities. The tasks involved need to be carried out on location as required, within both non-sensitive and sensitive settings. The support services provided will include on-premises systems (government), Microsoft365 and Azure tenants (commercial).

The contractor is tasked with offering Unified Support, a service aimed at reducing and resolving technical problems while granting the government direct contact with Microsoft specialists to ensure that applications and systems operate efficiently.

The contractor is responsible for supplying technical assistance through exclusive means, including specialized tools and databases, along with direct help from product developers who can tap into source code when necessary. The contractor is expected to address problems effectively using Microsoft technology, contributing to the development of solutions and architectural design. Furthermore, the contractor is required to offer prompt support services to the government by resolving issues and repairing breakdowns, leveraging their access to Microsoft’s product groups and developers.

Additionally, the contractor will provide technical assistance, issue resolution, workshops, strategic advice, and support to the United States Coast Guard on matters related to the development of intranet/internet strategies, prototyping, implementation, and the rolling out of solutions across both infrastructure and application domains. The contractor’s Unified Support is tailored to assist the USCG in optimizing its Microsoft technology investments, minimizing risks, expediting deployment, and refining solutions to fulfill the USCG’s operational needs.

A crucial service the contractor must deliver is a dynamic connection and immediate communication with Microsoft’s software creators and product teams.
