90 days left and it’s a sprint to the finish line! It’s been a wild ride since joining the Department of the Air Force (DAF) CDAO as their first Generative AI (GenAI) specialist and liaison. Getting the opportunity to shape upcoming policy, drive technology deployment efforts, support OSD TF Lima efforts, and lead outreach to the force on GenAI has been equal amounts of challenge and joy. We’ve got a LOT of great things on the roadmap for 2024 and beyond, and I am very proud to play a role in building the AI future for the DAF. As I am now in the twilight of my military career just before I officially retire, I’m doing everything I can to finish up our amazing projects, handoff/train great replacements, and explore exciting new opportunities. Things only seem to speed up and get much busier the closer I get to my final day in service. I’m looking forward to the future, both for myself in my upcoming civilian career, and what the DAF has in store in 2024 and beyond. My one regret is I can’t start this ride all over again with the military, as it’s been an unforgettable experience in many ways. I am very grateful and flattered at everyone’s support and interest in my career, but my first priority will always be supporting my current employer.
