In support of Internal Revenue Service (IRS) SSED program the contractor shall provide the acquisition of commercially available hardware and software Assistive Technology (AT) and support services for qualified employees with disabilities at the IRS. IRAP will provide maintenance and software support for items previously procured that must require maintenance under this acquisition.
The work to be performed by the contractor must fulfill the requirements of IRS offices Service-wide.
IRAP Program Office AT services include:
Evaluating the needs of qualified individuals with disabilities to determine the appropriate assistive computer technology to accommodate functional limitations.
Evaluating new AT for potential use within the IRS.
Purchasing AT with associated maintenance and training.
Assisting customers with AT features and functions.
Furnishing technical assistance to local Desktop Support staff to resolve complex assistive hardware and software issues.
