The competitive landscape for the Federal IT and Consulting sector is dynamic, with companies entering and exiting every day for a range of reasons. A goal for any Government and GovCon leader is to identify, establish relationships with, and support firms, and their respective leaders, which are positioned to serve as the next generation of highly successful GovCon small businesses.

Every other week, we will highlight a handful of very small, but rapidly emerging businesses that are NEW (have been formed and/or launched in the last 30 months), and that should be on your radar as both a potential partner and competitor.

This week we cover three new Digital Services, Cyber Operations, CMMC 2.0, AI, and Full Stack Development specialist companies that have not only managed to score early contract wins across the Federal sector (NIH, HHS, OPM, DOI, DOD, DOJ, etc), but that have also established strategic partnership and joint ventures, while gaining Prime access to a several important and strategic contract vehicles and channels.

ResolveSoft

In GovCon it is all about the contract vehicles and this newly launched company is making it look easy to get a seat at the table. Whether it is being named an apparent successful Prime offeror on the $50B CIO-SP4 GWAC, gaining Prime access to the $50B STARS III GWAC and the $1B DOT FAA eFAST BPA, or being named as a key partner on the new OPM Digital Services BPA, this 8(a) EDWOSB, led by CEO Sudhir Pucha and Chief Growth Officer Sri Tangirala, will have the level of Prime access that few new small businesses have. And we didn’t even mention the recent mentor protégé arrangement they struck, or the Prime contract wins they have added of late in support of the DOI OSMRE Coal Fee Collection System, the HHS ACF SonarQube static application security testing tool (SAST), and providing NIH with Website Graphic Redesign and UI / Programming Stack Evaluation. #onetowatch

RedDrum

Led by industry veterans CEO James Rainey and newly recruited CTO Adam Lerman, this small business, with years of senior executive level experience supporting the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense on numerous software development contracts, has quickly assembled a key senior leadership team as they look to distinguish themselves as industry leaders in Full Stack Development, Cloud Computing, Data Warehousing, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence. A string of new contract awards has kept the recruiting team for this Hatteras, NC headquartered small business hopping to fill a slew of job openings in the Annapolis Junction and Laurel, MD area. #employeesfirst

Valiant X Enterprise (VXE)

Led by CEO Yves Vazquez and CTO Edward Gadison, this San Antonio, TX based service-disabled, Army Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Information Technology (IT) Consultancy and product re-seller, that specializes in Cloud, DevSecOps, Infrastructure, Cyber Operations, and Cyber Security has quickly amassed a long list of Federal clients and technology partners, including the Department of Justice and U.S. Air Force. Armed with a Top Secret (TS) Facility Security Clearance (FCL), this company has added several senior leaders of late to help identify partners and to grow the Valiant-X Enterprise partner Ecosystem. #sdvosb #partnerships
