Supply Chain Visions and Hopper Consulting LLC Announce Strategic Partnership to Strengthen National Security

In a concerted effort to protect to protest the supply chains that enable our nation security, Supply Chain Visions and Hopper Consulting LLC have joined forces to tackle the growing threats facing the nation’s critical supply chains. This strategic partnership will combine industry-leading expertise to mitigate risks across global supply chains and protect critical infrastructure.

“The integrity of our supply chains is a matter of national security,” said Shawn Winn, President and CEO of Supply Chain Visions.  He spoke about the Hopper Consulting President’s experience on the topic. “Scott’s deep expertise of risk in defense supply chains is unmatched; it complements our team’s extensive experience. Together, we are delivering the insights and strategies that organizations need in an increasingly volatile world where malicious actors seek to infiltrate the nation’s critical supply chains.”

Hopper echoed the sentiment: “Shawn and his team are recognized experts in supply chain security. I couldn’t ask for a better partner to help the DIB proactively address vulnerabilities before they become critical failures.”

Hopper Consulting and Supply Chain Visions have long been partners.  Their most recent joint venture was collaborating on a Defense Logistics Agency project to study the Defense Department’s Global Tires Program.

Addressing a Growing National Security Concern

Supply chain security has long been a priority for national defense, but the COVID-19 pandemic exposed significant vulnerabilities in the U.S. supply chain, highlighting security risks across multiple sectors. Recognizing the growing threats, the National Counterintelligence and Security Center (NCSC) named supply chain security one of the five pillars of the National Counterintelligence Strategy of the United States in 2020, aiming to prevent foreign adversaries from compromising national security through supply chain infiltration.

While much of the public focus has been on software vulnerabilities, cybersecurity threats extend far beyond software alone. “Too often, cybersecurity is viewed only from a software perspective,” said Hopper. “But real threats exist within hardware, embedded systems, and other physical supply chain vulnerabilities that can be exploited by bad actors. This partnership takes a holistic approach, ensuring that organizations address risks at every level.”

A Global Approach to Supply Chain Risk

Supply Chain Visions brings decades of global experience in helping commercial and federal clients manage supply chain risk. “Supply chain security is no longer just a national issue—it’s a global challenge,” said Winn. “We’ve worked on this issue across six continents, supporting clients as they navigate the complexities of modern supply chains.”

Rather than developing another software tool in an already saturated market, Supply Chain Visions and Hopper Consulting LLC are focused on delivering expert-driven strategies to enhance supply chain resilience.

“The market is flooded with supply chain risk management (SCRM) software tools,” said Hopper. “But at the end of the day, any tool or AI-driven solution is only as good as the business rules behind it. Our expertise lies in understanding the indicators and warnings of potential threats and disruptions, ensuring that organizations make informed decisions.”
