Jaime Gracia shared: Reflecting on my time in the federal government 🏛️  Some bittersweet news. As some may have heard, this coming week will be my last in the federal government.  Looking back on my journey serving our great nation, I’m grateful for my incredible experiences and opportunities. Working alongside dedicated individuals from government and industry committed to positively impacting our country has been an honor.  This work included creating the foundations for a new organization at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, setting up innovation centers and customer experience organizations at the Internal Revenue Service, and expanding opportunities for industry and small businesses through improved engagement and communications at U.S. Department of State.  Although I wish I could have done more and could not execute other vital initiatives for many reasons out of my control, I remain very proud of the work accomplished.  In the ever-evolving world of public service, achieving every ambition or overcoming every challenge is impossible. I hope innovators and change agents across the government remember that their efforts are not in vain. No matter how small, each step taken contributes to the greater good.  As for my next steps, I will take some time for my health and my family and continue to help government agencies improve their procurement operations. These challenges will continue getting more complex, and new strategies are needed, such as procuring and using emerging technology, especially artificial intelligence. I want to continue helping solve these problems through education and other opportunities to help the government rethink the art of the possible.  Thank you for the opportunity to serve our nation. I am grateful for the experience. I remain committed to the values that led me to public service and will continue working for a brighter future and better government.
