RIVA Solutions expands its long-standing presence with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), recently receiving an award for a 5-year, $60M Single Award BPA supporting N-Wave ESRL Information Technology Support (NEITS). Aimed at enabling program growth and operational readiness through IT engineering, security, and support services, NEITS is perfectly aligned with RIVA’s capability areas as an industry leader in cybersecurity, cloud services, and digital modernization. This multi-state contract, with footprints in Maryland and Colorado, adds to an already extensive portfolio and decades-long history of partnership between RIVA and NOAA. RIVA is excited to further NOAA NEITS mission of connecting researchers to the data and resources needed to advance environmental science, and very much looks forward to building upon this foundation with key captures of similar work in the future.

N-Wave delivers stable, secure, high-speed network services to enable the vast missions of its stakeholder community within the federal government. N-Wave’s 400G national network infrastructure extends across the contiguous U.S., Alaska and Hawaii—reaching remote field sites, major campuses, data centers and supercomputing facilities. Combined with scalable cloud solutions, robust catalog of enterprise managed services and advanced network operations, N-Wave supports all stakeholder missions with integrity, transparency and flexibility, and employs a unique partnership approach with the science, research and education network community. NEITS is a critical element under NOAA’s shared services operating model and provides national IT network infrastructure and services support for NOAA and other government agencies. Team RIVA will fulfill NEITS’s need of network engineering, systems engineering and a wide range of other technical support fields in support their vast IT infrastructure and services ensuring capacity, operational availability, security, and data delivery.

In 2019, RIVA acquired SMRC, an established NOAA partner with over 30 years of mission critical support. The acquisition of SMRC coupled with RIVA’s technology focus created a unique blend of science and technology focused on building solutions and harnessing data to protect our planet. SMRC’s then CEO, Neelu Modali currently serves as RIVA’s Chief Operating Officer. Neelu was quoted, “We are grateful to be selected for such an important mission supporting the Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research (OAR) and the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) at NOAA. I’m excited to see our team of engineers and solution architects come together. RIVA is committed to the success of the N-Wave program and looks forward to our continued partnership with NOAA.”
