Welcoming our Chief Growth Officer, Col. (Ret.) Trent Upton – A Leader of People, a Visionary for Growth.
Pn Automation is excited to welcome Col. (Ret.) Trent Upton as our first Chief Growth Officer. Mr. Upton brings decades of strategic leadership, operational discipline, and mission-focused execution from his distinguished career as a US Army Colonel and his recent work advising growth-stage federal firms.
His deep experience with the Army is anchored by high-impact leadership roles, most notably as the Commander of the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division. In this capacity, he was responsible for the readiness, modernization, and global employment of a multi-billion dollar enterprise consisting of over 4,500 personnel. His tenure at the United States Department of the Army (HQDA) at the Pentagon further refined his expertise in resource management and strategic synchronization, where he served as a Front Office Spokesperson and Operations Officer, navigating the complexities of enterprise-level policy and Congressional requirements.
Beyond his Army service, Mr. Upton brings a unique multi-agency perspective from his time as a Senior Service College Fellow at the Department of Energy (DOE). During this fellowship, he collaborated on national security initiatives and energy resilience, bridging the gap between military operational needs and Department-level strategic goals.
His mindset, approach, and genuine commitment to people are exactly what we need as we scale our federal work and position Pn Automation for the future. Mr. Upton will lead our growth strategy, partnerships, and federal expansion efforts to support long-term, sustainable growth.
