Parag Thakker, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Omni Federal, said: “Omni is on a mission to reimagine and modernize our country’s vast federal legacy mission systems, which directly tie to the most significant challenges facing our nation. As we continue to invest in innovation and scaling, while pursuing acquisition opportunities to expand our solution offerings to drive further innovation in the DoD and IC, we’re pleased to welcome our new partners at MDP. The MDP Technology & Government team brings invaluable resources and experience that will support our ongoing work to help our customers resolve their complex challenges, expand and deepen our customer collaborations, and continue on our strong growth trajectory.”
Matt Norton, Managing Director and Head of MDP’s Technology & Government team, added: “As the federal government continues to prioritize the critical need to modernize its legacy mission- and enterprise-software platforms, the DoD and IC are increasingly turning to differentiated companies like Omni that can bring a commercially focused approach to tackling these challenges. Our years of experience and expansive resource network in the government and commercial software sectors, in tandem with our long-standing history of supporting the missions of the DoD and IC, will help us support Omni in adapting its solutions to penetrate adjacent mission domains, pursue larger modernization programs previously reserved for the largest government contractors, and further strengthen its ability to innovate, provide growth opportunities to its employees and meet its customers’ digital needs. We’re incredibly excited to partner with Parag, Sameer, Kevin and the entire Omni team on the Company’s continued growth journey.”
MDP’s Technology & Government team has deep experience working with government defense, government software and high-growth technology companies, and has a history of partnering with talented, often founder-led, management teams to help identify organic and inorganic opportunities to scale and strengthen product offerings and solutions. MDP’s relevant government sector experience includes its investment partnerships with AEVEX Aerospace, a leader in special mission airborne technology systems and solutions; LGS Innovations, the former Federal division of Bell Labs focused on C4ISR and cybersecurity for the IC; LinQuest Corporation, a leader in military space technology solutions; SpiderOak, a cybersecurity provider for space-based assets; T2S Solutions, a provider of R&D, rapid prototyping, and mission critical technology solutions; and Unison, a leading provider of government procurement, supply chain, and contract management software. “MDP has tracked the DoD and IC software marketplace for years and we are extremely excited to be partnering with Omni, which we believe has emerged as a differentiated and highly innovative provider. The need for mission- and enterprise-software modernization will only expand in the coming years, and Omni will be a critical partner to its customers as they navigate this requirement,” added Brandon Levitan, a Director on MDP’s Technology & Government team. “With its leading UI/UX capabilities, deep platform expertise, proprietary software tools, and fantastic leadership team and employee base, Omni is well-positioned for continued significant growth.
