The scope of work consists of providing independent scientific, operations and professional administrative support services to administrators and Federal staff within NIDDK, NIDDK laboratories, branches and sections including, but not limited to, principal investigators, students, postdoctoral fellows, clinical fellows, and other trainees as it relates to the NIDDK’s mission within NIH. Tasks include but are not limited to technical guidance, organizational and workforce development, and administrative support.

NIDDK Program Administrative Technical Support

The Contractor shall assist the NIDDK by providing experienced staff who have extensive pertinent experience relevant to serving the NIH mission.  Personnel shall be proficient in Outlook, MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Share Point. The Contractor shall, when required, provide direct support in the following areas:

Contribute towards the research and analysis of specific issues related to the NIDDK mission, as requested, to enhance the Director’s ability to reach out to and advocate on behalf of NIH and its collaborative partners, including the coordination of meetings and activities both on-site and off-site.

Assist with coordinating the design of new programs, process development and the enhancement and maintenance of existing programs.

Provide meeting support to include organizing meetings (workshops, workgroups, steering committees), travel planning for visiting subject matter experts and scientists (basic research), coordinating, attending, and note taking for a variety of meeting types such as webinars, coordinating panels, planning meetings, and internal NIDDK/NIH meetings. As part of meeting support, manage registrations, meeting signage, travel logistics, planning, meeting agendas, presentations, and advance materials dissemination.

Use day-to-day observations and analysis of work processes to evaluate program operations; anticipate potential problems; identify existing problems and inefficiency; develop recommended solutions to enhance NIDDK operations.

Preparing a variety of items such as travel requests, official duty memoranda, leave authorizations, training requests, individual/mass mailings, correspondence, reports, and various forms.

Using current Government systems like Concur Government Edition (CGE), Purchasing Online Tracking System (POTS) and Integrated Time and Attendance System (ITAS).
