Morgan M. Adamski appointed as next executive director of USCYBERCOM

United States Cyber Command has announced the appointment of Ms. Morgan M. Adamski as its new Executive Director. Adamski will assume this critical position in early June 2024, bringing her extensive expertise and leadership to the forefront of the nation’s cyber defense efforts.

As Executive Director, Adamski will play a pivotal role in supporting the Commander will include leading strategic initiatives to advance CYBERCOM’s capabilities, talent management and partnerships.

Adamski is continuing an already distinguished career in cybersecurity that spans more than 15 years, during which she has been at the forefront of many cybersecurity initiatives. Her previous roles within the National Security Agency (NSA) include serving as the Director of the Cybersecurity Collaboration Center (CCC), Deputy for Strategic Mission Management in NSA’s Cybersecurity Directorate and directing NSA’s offensive cyber mission. As the Director of the CCC for the past four years, her focus on co-creating cybersecurity tradecraft through collaborations with industry partners has transformed the way the nation approaches cyber defense.

“I am thrilled to be joining the amazing team at U.S. Cyber Command,” Adamski said, adding “And contributing to their success of securing the cyberspace domain for the U.S. and our allies.”

Adamski’s past assignments include working in the Office of the Secretary of Defense for Cyber Policy where she helped author the 2018 DOD Cyber Strategy and inaugural Cyber Posture Review. Prior to serving in OSD, she served as the Chief Operating Officer for NSA’s offensive cyber mission. In this capacity, she planned and executed operations against some of the agency’s most challenging intelligence targets. Her technical acumen and operational expertise have significantly contributed to the nation’s cyber capabilities.

As the new Executive Director of USCYBERCOM, Ms. Adamski will lead strategic initiatives, enhance talent management and strengthen partnerships. Her vision and leadership will be instrumental in shaping the nation’s cyber defense posture as we navigate an increasingly complex digital landscape.

The appointment of Ms. Morgan M. Adamski underscores the critical importance of cybersecurity in safeguarding our national interests.

Adamski’s awards and decorations include the NSA Innovation Award in 2023, NSA Director’s Award in 2020, the Director of National Intelligence Merit Unit Citation in 2019 and the Meritorious Civilian Service Award in 2016….
