Michael Smith tapped as DHS Director for Systems & Information Integration with the Office of the Chief Readiness Support Officer

This experienced Federal Government Administrator with a focus on Program Management, Information Technology, and Communications takes on a new role.

Michael Smith is now listed as Director for Systems & Information Integration with the Office of the Chief Readiness Support Officer within the Department of Homeland Security having previously served in an acting role.

Michael most recently served as Deputy Director for Systems and Information Integration within Office of the Chief Readiness Support Officer (OCRSO), Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Headquarters. In this position he: – Assisted the SI2O Director in the management of the office by promoting greater collaboration across program lines and ensuring the office meets its long-term strategic goals. – Managed the execution of budget and contracts by serving as Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) for our three task orders and serving as a program manager for CAPSIS and DHS Cube. – Led the office’s strategic communications efforts with the goal of educating our user community about our programs and products and promoting increased data-driven decision making.
