A-TEK, Inc.’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Mackson Consulting, LLC, has been awarded a 4-year, $13.5M contract under the CIO-SP3 SB GWAC, to establish and operate the Indian Health (IHS) Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC).  Under the contract, Mackson will work with IHS to ensure compliance with federal mandates that require federal agencies have a cybersecurity incident response capability, threat intelligence, and continuous diagnostic and mitigation functions.

The Indian Health Service, an agency within the Department of Health and Human Services, is the principal federal health care provider and health advocate for American Indian and Alaska Natives. The provision of health services to members of federally-recognized tribes was established in 1787 and grew out of the special government-to-government relationship between the federal government and Indian tribes.  IHS’ goal is to raise the health status of their constituents to the highest possible level.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to support the IHS mission.  Our corporate goal of demonstrating excellence and innovation in the services we provide to our customers, align with IHS’ goal of promoting excellence and quality through innovation of the Indian health system into an optimally performing organization. We welcome the opportunity to work with IHS in achieving their goals and ultimately the IHS mission,” stated Kathryn Freeland, President and CEO.
