A rapidly emerging certified service-disabled Veteran-owned small business IT and Infrastructure support specialist and successful VETS 2 Prime is seeking a partner (large or small) who has direct past performance and/or relationships with ECC and/or the Information Technology Operations Command Center-Monitoring of Mainframe & Triage Branch to support a quick turn RFI response out of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). This is in relation to a requirement and draft SOW posted to GSA eBuy earlier this week.

“The implementation of Individual Tax Processing Engine (ITPE), Parallel Validation to modernize our Individual Tax System will require additional monitoring and triage of all Information Technology Services (ITS) Tier 1 systems (IBM, Unisys, IDRS, IMF, BMF, Daily Processing, etc. and 24×7 required monitoring and triage of all networks connected databases and web applications and the Enterprise Network. The Mainframe Monitoring & Triage Branch also proactively addresses critical events by monitoring IRS systems through the tools that Monitoring Services Branch (MSB) deploys, thereby reducing the number of Priority 1 (P1) and Priority 2 (P2) tickets which can result in impact to the availability of system to the customers.
Increased support capacity for monitoring and triage of P1 and P2 incident tickets. Events and incidents to critical systems will need to be monitored and triaged quickly to reduce the impact to our external customers and the Command Center (MMTB) Information Technology Operations Command Center-Monitoring of Mainframe & Triage Branch, will struggle to keep up with the demand and maintain the high level of support with our current staffing levels. The additional monitoring of a new class of application running alongside our current production environment will place additional load on our current and new systems and personnel monitoring them. The government will see potentially significant impact to our monitoring and triage support of incidents for WebApps Make a Payment (BT Health), as well as the Integrated Customer Communications Environment (ICCE). ICCE provides services for taxpayers via telephone and internet. Primary impact would be to the monitoring and triage of the internet portions of ICCE which includes: “Where’s my refund?” (IRFOF), Refund Trace (IRTRC), Online Payment Agreement (OPA), Modernized Employer Identification Number (MODEIN), Electronic Filing Pin – Help (EFP), Federal Student Aid – Datashare (FSA-D), Order a Transcript (ST-TRA), Send my Transcript (SMTRA) and Where’s My Amended Return (WMAR).”
