Infotrend, Inc. (Infotrend) – a premiere, next-generation IT and eDiscovery company – was awarded a 5-year cloud-based eDiscovery contract with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to provide the SEC with the design and configuration of the electronic discovery application (eD3). Infotrend will support the SEC in its mission to build an on-demand, self-service, broad network access, resource pooling and elastic eDiscovery service. The contract will first be for a pilot system with the option to transform it into an enterprise system. Infotrend competed against seven other bidders on the small business set-aside.

“We are proud to continue building on our trusted relationship with the Securities and Exchange Commission,” said Gurpreet Singh, CEO of Infotrend. “As the technology landscape evolves, regulatory agencies need next generation solutions to get ahead of the curve. This next generation contract will enable SEC to test and implement a secure eDiscovery solution that modernizes the way SEC handles the vast amount of information collected by the divisions within SEC.”

The scope of this work includes design, configuration, testing, electronic document discovery (EDD) processing, data and document loading, system administration, creation of electronic productions, pilot system deployment, training, and operational support of the SEC electronic Discovery 3 (eD3) application. The scope also includes integrating analytical and review functions of the eD3 application and developing the workflows to enable the SEC to efficiently and effectively gain the most benefit from the eD3 application.

The eD3 contract serves as a welcome addition to Infotrend’s growing SEC portfolio. In 2017, Infotrend was awarded with an 8-year $100M National Exam Support Services (NESS) BPA that provides eDiscovery support services to the SEC and Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations (OCIE).
