Freshly Picked: Three New SDVOSB Joint Ventures to pay attention to, especially if you focus on VA, Federal Health, or DOD

Included below we highlight three newly formed Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned JV entities that were established and registered over the past three months. The parties involved here include a major partner to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), a former VA OIT leader, a rapidly emerging woman-owned commercial and Federal AI, Blockchain, and Cloud player; and a proven 8(a), WOSB and SDVOB provider of Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics. Joint Ventures are typically put in place with a defined goal in mind, so we are sharing this information hot off the presses.

Please note that many times a new joint venture will limit what information they provide or share publicly until they are ready to reveal. We know that many of you are close to the action and this information is being made available now, without all of the answers, knowing that this may help inform the competitive landscape on upcoming competitions, while also giving you the opportunity to have early partner discussions where it makes sense.

Tribility – This newly formed joint venture brings together Trilogy Federal, a mentor  that can lay claim to currently supporting 29 active VA contracts and which manages approximately 250 VA-badged consultants across its VA portfolio, to include supporting three major VA modernization efforts (EHRM, DMLSS, FMBT) and Ibility, a rapidly emerging woman-owned SDVOSB, led by CEO Danielle Krakora, a former VA Office of Information and Technology (OIT) leader and Senior Innovation Fellow.

Currently in the process of gaining their official Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) status with the Small Business Administration, this new entity is in position to be a major player at VA, and elsewhere, across the next 5 years. You can see the full announcement detailing their partnership here.

Hypatia Vets JV – OS AI does not yet know with certainty who the Service-Disabled partner is in this new Digital Transformation focused JV (The JV website that is a work in progress can be found here), but we share here as any SDVO JV that includes Hypatia, an established woman-owned small business software engineering firm that specializes in prototyping, integrating and scaling products and platforms at the interface of hardware, software and biology, and delivering infrastructure and software solutions for the “new stack” powering cloud computing, clearly has a goal in mind.

Let’s see – Health SME. AI. Blockchain. Cloud. Past performance that includes driving data innovation, cloud computing and artificial intelligence for the Department of Commerce National Technical Information Service (NTIS), and other initiatives with Federal agencies such as the CDC National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Disease (NCIRD); the FDA Oncology Center of Excellence (OCE), and the DOD Joint Artificial Intelligence Center (JAIC). We are interested in seeing where this goes.

DAgile, LLC – Who is the D in DAgile? We said we are bringing them to you fresh, so we do not know who the other partner(s) are in this JV, but when Agile Business Concepts, an established 8(a), WOSB and SDVOB provider of Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Data Analytics, and Program Management services, strikes a new strategic arrangement, we pay attention. Led by Dr. Shirley Dominick, a retired Air Force officer, this newly formed JV will be able to leverage the past performance that cuts across a range of Federal agencies, to include USDA, US Navy, US Air Force, DOJ, and various members of the Intelligence Community. More to be shared as it is known.
