Electrosoft announced today that it has been awarded a task order from the National Institute of Standards and Technology to continue supporting the Cryptographic Validation Program. Through the TO, the firm will deliver ongoing operational and development support to the program that certifies cryptographic products for use across the U.S. government and regulated industries.
“Cryptographic validation is foundational to how the federal government and critical industries protect sensitive information. As the threat landscape evolves, the integrity of cryptographic standards has never been more imperative,” said Dr. Sarbari Gupta, CEO of Electrosoft. “We are honored to extend our long-standing partnership with NIST and to bring our expertise to the work of keeping those standards strong and current.”
Under the contract, Electrosoft will deliver three core areas of support to NIST’s Security Testing, Validation, and Measurement (STVM) Group that remain central to the cryptographic validation programs. First, operational support includes review of test submissions and validation artifacts, along with technical coordination and guidance for the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP), accredited Cryptographic and Security Testing Laboratories (CSTLs) and participating vendors. Second, documentation support includes maintaining and updating program guidance, management manuals, implementation guidance, and related validation materials. Third, the team develops, integrates, and maintains testing and automation capabilities, including structured test evidence, standardized submission protocols, and modernized infrastructure. These improvements enhance the efficiency, timeliness, and quality of Cryptographic Module Validation Program (CMVP) and Cryptographic Algorithm Validation Program (CAVP) validation processes and help NIST manage validation workload effectively.
