On January 8, 2024, the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Environmental Management Consolidated Business Center (EMCBC) published a Request for Information (RFI) in advance of a procurement for a new Technical, Management, and Administrative (TMA) services contract on behalf of DOE’s Oak Ridge Office of Environmental Management (OREM) in eastern Tennessee. The RFI was posted both to SAM.gov and EMCBC’s procurement website at https://www.emcbc.doe.gov/SEB/OREMTMA.
EMCBC received many responses to the RFI and thanks those firms for their input and effort. After review of the responses and other market research, DOE intends to proceed with the subject procurement utilizing the General Services Administration’s (GSA) Multiple Award Schedules (MAS) Program. The expected GSA Special Item Number (SIN) is 541611.
DOE further intends to set aside this procurement for Women-Owned Small Businesses (WOSBs) that hold a MAS contract for SIN 541611. More information about the WOSB Program is available here: https://wosb.certify.sba.gov.
Solicitations issued under the MAS Program are generally not synopsized (see FAR 8.404(a)) so DOE does not expect to publish anything further about this procurement on SAM.gov.
DOE anticipates sending a Request for Quotation (RFQ) through GSA’s eBuy system to eligible MAS holders between June 20 and July 19, 2024, with a response deadline no shorter than 45 calendar days. The RFQ and any supplemental information will also be posted on EMCBC’s procurement website.
