DHS CBP to push Statistical and Dashboard Data Support recompete RFP in April on STARS III

This contract is not of huge value, but the opportunity to compete to win this strategic contract to provide Statistical and Data Support, to include Dashboard Support, for the U.S. Border Patrol, Strategic Planning Analysis Directorate, Systems Division, ensures that any RFP will get a long hard look by 8(a) STARS III Prime contract holders looking to break in or expand their footprint at DHS.

A focus for this 4-year requirement is expected to include the following tasks: Reporting and Analysis; Technical Assistance; Training; Requirements Analysis; Data Analysis; Development Documentation; Visualization; Develop, Enhance and Maintain USBP systems; Assess Technology; Resolve Application Bugs; Handle Emergency Situations; and Administer USBP Applications.

The U.S. Border Patrol’s Strategic Planning and Analysis Directorate (SPAD) is responsible for enhancing border security. The SPAD guides station Border Patrol agents and leadership, who use a variety of factors to create a containment zone at the U.S. border, where 100% of apprehensions would ideally take place.

The Incumbent on this effort is 8(a) woman-owned small business NeevSys, with the task being awarded as a sole source action in 2022. Contract details and spend to date can be found here (70B03C22F00001291). The RFP for the next iteration of the contract, which is expected to be four years in duration, is expected to be competed, with the solicitation expected to be released on STARS III in late April of 2024.

More details will be shared as they are made available.
