Customs and Border Protection intends to negotiate a Sole Source Award with Neevsys, Inc., under their OASIS+ 8(a) contract for an analyst to provide Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Services for CBP’s Office of Field Operations.
Objectives: The objective of this acquisition is to obtain a selection of qualified offerors that can provide comprehensive part-time Senior Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Analyst.
Scope. This acquisition will provide a full range of full-time FIOA Support. • Receives and tracks Freedom of Information Act requests and routed them to the appropriate U.S. Border Patrol (and/or CBP) entities to perform the search for responsive records. • Upon receiving FOIA records, reviews them for responsiveness and uploads them to FOIA Online, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) FOIA Division’s FOIA website. • Reviews redactions to the responsive records and recommends additional redactions where needed. • Serves as nationwide liaison for any FOIA-related litigation. Reviews redactions to responsive records and adds or removes redactions, as necessary. • Regular liaison with CBP’s FOIA Division and the Office of Chief Counsel to ensure that all USBP FOIA requests and litigation are managed in a timely manner. This requires compliance with many competing and strict deadlines to ensure that all FOIA requests and litigation were addressed meet sensitive deadlines.
