D&G Solutions announced that Ryan Bakazan, a United States Air Force combat veteran and retired Colonel, has joined the firm, bringing more than 27 years of senior leadership experience across global supply chain management, fuels, transportation, and enterprise logistics operations.
A former Air Force Wing Commander—among the top 1% of officers entrusted with enterprise-scale logistics and readiness—Bakazan joins D&G following a distinguished career overseeing some of the Department of War’s most complex sustainment operations. Most recently, he served as Deputy Director of Logistics at Air Mobility Command, where he led a 330-person organization managing a $2.5B annual budget in support of 1,100 aircraft across more than 50 locations worldwide.
“Ryan brings a rare combination of operational credibility, strategic depth, and hands-on execution experience,” said Leah Sanders, CEO of D&G. “His leadership across fuels, sustainment, and global supply chains directly aligns with the challenges facing today’s warfighters.”
As Commander of the 635th Supply Chain Operations Wing, Bakazan served as the Air Force’s Enterprise Supply Chain Manager. He led over 1,600 people and managed the Air Force’s $4B operational supply chain, supporting 5,762 aircraft, 99,000 vehicles, and 400 intercontinental ballistic missiles. In this role, he also managed the Air Force’s 2B gallon annual fuel requirement and served as the Air Force’s program manager for its $4B War Reserve Materiel global portfolio.
His leadership includes pioneering predictive maintenance programs, integrating advanced analytics into supply chain decision-making, setting the global theater, mitigating contested logistics challenges, and optimizing global repair networks; efforts that collectively generated hundreds of millions of dollars in savings while improving readiness rates and operational agility.
Bakazan also brings deep interagency experience from his time supporting the Defense Logistics Agency, the Office of the Secretary of War, Joint Staff, and combatant commands, including deployment as Joint Logistics Director (J-4) in Afghanistan, where he was awarded the Bronze Star for exceptionally meritorious service.
He holds a Master of Science in National Resource Strategy from the Eisenhower School–National Defense University, where he was named a Distinguished Graduate, and maintains an active Top Secret clearance. His professional credentials include master-level Lean operations certification and advanced executive education in global supply chain management from the University of Tennessee and the University of North Carolia.
At D&G, Bakazan will support the company’s continued growth in contested logistics, industrial base resilience, fuels, and data-enabled supply chain solutions for defense and national security customers.
