This looks like a great capability to aid government acquisition. But I’m concerned it provides government contracting shops with a way to eliminate or circumvent the RFI/Sources Sought process, which is how many of us learn about upcoming opportunities, as well as our opportunity to provide information to the govt specific to that RFI. Bottom line, a great source to assist govt contracting market research, but it may result in decreased exposure of potential pursuits company’s want to add to their pipelines. Anyone else see it this way?
Hi Tim, thanks for raising this! Arctas isn’t meant to replace RFIs/Sources Sought. We agree that they are critical for discovering new opportunities. Our goal is to improve pre-RFI visibility, helping government buyers do more informed market research by making it easier to discover relevant vendors earlier. At the same time, we’re opening up a new dimension of pipeline for companies through our teaming marketplace – surfacing opportunities that often aren’t visible. Our hope is to increase the number of opportunities you find and pursue
