According to the latest opportunity forecast published in early March by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, a solicitation release is on the near horizon for the recompete of this important contract to provide data analysis, investigative, and other services in support of the CMS Center for Program Integrity’s (CPI) efforts to safeguard the integrity of the health insurance marketplaces.

Services provided under the predecessor contract were expected to include managing the intake of leads from multiple sources (e.g. CMS, other program integrity contractors, issuers, states, etc.); Conducting investigative activities of Marketplace actors (e.g. agents/brokers, web-brokers, navigators/assisters, issuers); Proactive data analysis to identify individuals or organizations that are potentially out of compliance with Marketplace rules; Providing recommendations to CMS; and Coordinating/sharing information with law enforcement officials (e.g. OIG, FBI and DOJ).
