I am absolutely thrilled to extend a warm welcome to Dominique Duval-Diop, PhD, joining the U.S. Department of Commerce as Deputy Chief Data Officer. Dominique is an extraordinary leader, who as Chief Data Scientist of the United States championed the capacity of federal agencies to use data and technology to drive equity in infrastructure investments and other federal funding programs. In her new role, Dominique will work across DOC to accelerate the value of data in meeting the Department’s mission to create the conditions for economic growth and opportunity for all communities. Dominique will be housed at the Office of the Under Secretary for Economic Affairs.
