Coast Guard Merges Aviation Acquisition and RAS Support Efforts into Single Follow-On Competition

The U.S. Coast Guard has added a significant follow-on requirement to its acquisition forecast for Program Management Office Subject Matter Expert Contractor Support Services supporting the Office of Aviation Acquisition and Robotics and Autonomous Systems programs.

The Coast Guard anticipates competing the requirement through OASIS+ as a follow-on effort with an estimated value between $20 million and $50 million. The forecast notes that the upcoming procurement will combine work currently being performed under task orders 70Z02325F93100002 and 70Z02325F93100003, creating a consolidated support requirement for the Coast Guard’s aviation acquisition and emerging technology portfolios.

According to the forecast, the contractor will provide comprehensive program management support services for the Office of Aviation Acquisition and its subordinate programs, including support for Robotics and Autonomous Systems initiatives. The scope includes administrative support, business and financial management, workforce and human capital planning, requirements analysis, risk management, and coordination of aviation mission systems and cybersecurity requirements.

The planned consolidation of the two existing task orders is one of the more notable aspects of the forecast. By combining the current efforts into a single follow-on requirement, the Coast Guard appears to be streamlining support for acquisition management, business operations, workforce planning, and mission-focused program support activities under one contract vehicle.

The forecast identifies Archimedes Global as an incumbent on the current efforts and anticipates releasing a solicitation later this year, with award expected during the second quarter of fiscal year 2027.

For firms supporting acquisition management, PMO operations, workforce planning, financial management, risk management, aviation programs, and emerging autonomous systems initiatives, the forecast provides an early look at a substantial upcoming Coast Guard opportunity.
