The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is responsible for the administration of numerous health care programs established under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). In support of these lines of business CMS operates a number of bi-lingual public websites and sub-domains. The core technology upon which many such sites are operates is the Drupal digital experience platform. CMS has historically outsourced to a contractor the effort to provide ongoing maintenance and support for the Drupal digital experience platform. This effort includes analysis of Drupal websites, recommend improvements and implement recommendations as directed by CMS. CMS has three (3) instances of Drupal 9, including medicare.gov, cms.gov and innovation.cms.gov / marketplace.cms.gov, which share a single code base.
