Lance Harris is now listed as Acting Director, Enterprise Data and Analytics with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
In this role Lance will lead the development and implementation of AI initiatives for CFPB, including a GenAI policy, ATO and Pilot for Microsoft Copilot, AI governance, AI Communities of Practice, AI communications/change management, and other AI efforts.; will oversee data operations, engineering, architecture, and data science/analytics teams performing on-prem to cloud migrations of tools and databases, pipeline development, day-to-day IT/data support functions, data viz, AI/ML, and Google Analytics reporting.
Lance will simultaneously serve as Director of Data Management, providing senior leadership over the Office of the Chief Data Officer and furthering CFPB efforts in support of open data initiatives, interagency rulemakings (Financial Data Transparency Act), Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA), and data governance and strategy.
