CBP Seeks AI Solutions to Detect Illegal Transshipment Risks Through Pilot

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is seeking innovative commercial technologies to identify imports that pose a high risk for illegal transshipment. This effort is part of a pilot initiative aimed at strengthening enforcement capabilities and preventing unlawful goods from entering the United States while supporting the identification of additional duties owed.

The requirement focuses on AI-driven commercial solutions capable of analyzing import data to detect high-risk trade activity. CBP is interested in technologies that are already in production or close to commercialization, including new applications or adaptations of existing systems. The effort will use a multi-phase evaluation approach, beginning with solution briefs and potentially advancing to full proposals, allowing the agency to assess technical feasibility and operational impact. This initiative supports broader mission objectives related to trade enforcement, supply chain integrity, and the application of advanced analytics to border security operations.

Companies with experience in AI-driven analytics, trade compliance technologies, and risk detection platforms may find this of interest.
