NIAID is moving forward with a BPIMSS bridge task order to maintain continuity of critical business process and IT support while a delayed BPA award is sorted out.

Scope:
Covers enterprise IT and business process support, including evaluating and implementing new technologies, sustaining existing systems, and driving ongoing process and service delivery improvements. The work supports integrated, cross-functional operations tied to research, compliance, biosafety, and clinical activities.

What’s driving this:
The planned multiple-award BPAs under the NIAID NEAT program were delayed due to a protest, slowing the award timeline and preventing timely competition for follow-on work.

Bottom line:
Because the BPA awards are behind schedule, NIAID is issuing a short-term sole-source bridge to the incumbent to avoid disruption, with competition expected once the BPA awards are finalized and ordering can begin.
