The intent of this acquisition is to support JPEO-CBRND in achieving its strategic CBRN defense countermeasure portfolio program objectives. Due to the high complexity and visibility of projects in its countermeasure portfolio, JPEO-CBRND anticipates that this contract will provide deep reach back to subject matter experts representing career fields in science and technology; medicine; drug development and manufacturing; medical and diagnostic device development and manufacturing; domestic and international clinical study regulation and execution; material science and engineering for CBRN sensing and protection; business management and strategy; supply chain logistics and risk management; and communications, among other career fields required to meet the changing CBRN defense mission space. Further, JPEO-CBRND anticipates that the successful Mission Support contractor will require an international presence and pre-existing strategic relationships with stakeholders in the global CBRN defense community. This contract will assist the Joint Project Managers (JPM) and Joint Project Leads (JPL), the Office of the Chief Engineer (OCE), and the One Network of Excellence for Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance (ONE-RAQA) offices within the JPEO-CBRND as they execute their missions:
- JPM CBRN Protection develops, fields, and modernizes individual and collective protection as well as hazard mitigation equipment to provide integrated, layered, and operationally relevant CBRN defense capabilities for the Joint Force.
- JPM CBRN Medical facilitates the advanced development and acquisition of medical solutions to combat CBRN and emerging threats.
- JPM CBRN Sensors develops, fields and sustains CBRN sensors, reconnaissance systems, mobile laboratory systems and obscuration capabilities for the Army.
- JPM CBRN Special Operations Forces (SOF) rapidly acquires and equips Special Operation and Special Purpose Forces with critical, capability-gap-filling, chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense equipment necessary to underwrite mission success…
