Press Release: Aptive HTG Receives 5-Year, $143M Policy Transformation Contract from Veterans Health Administration

Aptive HTG received a five-year contract to provide policy analysis, development and implementation support to the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Office of Regulations, Appeals and Policy. Through this significant initiative, VHA is developing and modernizing national standards of practice for licensed, certified and registered professionals including physicians, nurses, EMTs, clinical technicians and physician assistants. As a result, professionals will be able to practice their specialty in any state regardless of conflicting state requirements—a major advancement in the field of health care.

Aptive HTG will provide health care legal and policy research, statistical impact analysis, intensive policy development, strategic communications and implementation support, including creating and modernizing national standards, addressing policy-related issues to ensure connectivity to VHA’s electronic health record (EHR), improving access to care, optimizing public comment periods and comment analysis and many other complex activities.

This initiative will improve access and delivery of health care, support implementation of the new EHR, enhance parity with the Department of Defense and support national emergency responses to health crises.

“We have an incredibly experienced team ready to get to work. Along with our partners, ECS, Booz Allen Hamilton, and KPMG, we have been providing VHA’s Office of Regulatory and Administrative Affairs with VHA policy development and regulatory management for several years now,” said Ari Friedman, Aptive Director of Health Solutions. “We have created, updated or reiterated more than 500 national policies over the past few years, as a precursor to this transformation contract.”

“In addition to refreshing existing VHA policy, Aptive HTG has directly supported improvements to the Administration’s ability to provide the same high-quality care nationwide,” said Clive Ballard, Aptive Vice President for Enterprise Health Solutions. “It’s a great honor to continue this important policy transformation work.”

This $143M task order falls within the Integrated Healthcare Transformation Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. Under this IDIQ, Aptive HTG and partners, ECS, Booz Allen Hamilton, KPMG, Lewin, Artemis ARC and others support VHA across a variety of areas as needs arise, including health care modernization and transformation, financial management business transformation, analytics and mental health and suicide prevention.

Aptive HTG is a joint venture between Aptive Resources and ECS, formerly ERPi. Aptive HTG’s solutions integrate people, policies, processes and technology into an efficient, secure, scalable operation for better health care and outcomes.
