The Center of Medicare recently awarded C-HIT a contract for supporting their Provider Customer Service Program (PCSP) under which 16 Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) enroll healthcare providers and suppliers and process Medicare claims.  One of PCSP’s directives requires that every MAC offer a provider education website that serves as a self-help tool for healthcare providers to access information regarding the Medicare program. C-HIT’s responsibilities will include working closely with the MACs to ensure that their provider education websites are consistent in their messaging; adhere to the specified standards of quality, clarity, and accessibility; meet all required CMS and federal standards; and deliver the required performance for efficiency and improved user experience.  “C-HIT continues to be dedicated to helping CMS meet their business objectives through the application of innovative technologies and processes,” stated C-HIT Chief Transformation Officer and Executive Vice President, Dr. Yuri Radams. “We are extremely confident that our automated testing and analysis solution will enable efficient scanning of each MAC provider education website to determine Section 508 compliance, performance issues, compliance with Federal Plain Language standards, and adherence with CMS branding guidelines and communication standards.”
