The Department of the Air Force has established the official SAM.gov landing page for the DAF Battle Network (DBN) “Megatron” Multiple Award Contract (MAC) IDIQ and released initial information about the planned acquisition.
According to the Special Notice, the DBN “Megatron” MAC IDIQ is intended to provide an agile and competitive contracting framework to deliver capabilities and support the full spectrum of PAE C3BM requirements throughout the program lifecycle.
The government states that the contract will be a hybrid supply and services vehicle supporting the development, procurement, assembly, delivery, and sustainment of PAE C3BM product lines. Customers using the contract will be able to procure capabilities across digital architecture, sensor integration, secure processing, connectivity, applications, and synthetic environment development. The stated objective is to support the integration of USAF and USSF C3 programs and deliver resilient decision advantage.
The notice states that the vehicle will include both a Small Business pool and an unrestricted pool of awardees. It also states that the contract will be competed using RFO Part 15 Source Selection procedures and will operate as a decentralized contract vehicle, allowing Department of the Air Force program offices and DoW agencies to place orders.
The Air Force also announced that the acquisition strategy has been officially approved and that decision authority has been delegated. The current acquisition schedule identifies a draft Statement of Work targeted for release within the next several weeks, a draft RFP targeted for late Q4 FY26, a final RFP anticipated in mid-Q1 FY27, and contract award targeted for Q3 FY27.
The program team is also planning to host a virtual Industry Day on October 7, 2026. The notice states that one-on-one sessions will not be scheduled because of the anticipated volume of interest.
This Special Notice establishes the official SAM.gov landing page for the DBN “Megatron” MAC IDIQ and states that future updates, including program schedule changes, draft Statements of Work, draft solicitation documents, and Industry Day information, will be posted under Notice ID FA861227RB001.
