Heartland Consulting has been awarded a new task order to support the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) under the Department of Interior (DOI). For the next five years, Heartland Consulting will provide visual and communications support for the BIA’s Office of Trust Services (OTS). Heartland is responsible for developing visual content and reports for the BIA, DOI, Congress, and White House, and for various platforms including social media, websites, and marketing materials. This is the first task order issued to Heartland under the large BIA Program Management and Industrial Engineering (PMIECS) IDIQ.
Heartland’s visual and communications team conceptualizes and produces engaging visual content to tell the stories of tribes and the impact that critical tribal programming funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) and Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) has had on tribal communities. The BIL and IRA has provided the BIA the ability to provide funding to support essential programming such as Climate Adaptation and Community Relocation, Ecosystem Restoration, Safety of Dams, Tribal Climate Resilience, and Fish Hatchery Operation and Maintenance supporting eighty-eight (88) Tribal hatcheries. By collaboration with BIA programs, BIL and IRA coordinators, and Tribes and Alaskan Native Villages, the Heartland team is responsible for bringing projects to life through video production, animation, and creative writing.

We share BIA’s mission to serve our federally recognized tribes, and as a tribal member myself of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, I take this service seriously.”
