JTT Background and Objectives:
Joint Targeting Toolbox (JTT) is an Air Combat Command (ACC)-sponsored software capability which provides standardized, secure, automated decision support for joint and allied commanders worldwide. The system is deployed at Command and Control (C2) nodes at the national, force, and component elements in support of decision-makers and will include targeting capabilities compatible within the force/theater-level common operating environments (plan, execute, and assess).
JTT supports joint/coalition combat operations which include integrated air, ground, naval, and cyber targeting functions throughout the joint targeting cycle to include objectives, target development, capabilities analysis, force assignment, force execution and assessment working seamlessly between multiple security domains. JTT gives the targeting community the ability to be interoperable and collaborative across the joint enterprise. JTT allows end – to – end target planning, via host/core service and joint C2 systems, by targeteers and target specialists at all planning levels and nodes.
The JTT Program Management Office (PMO) is currently modernizing the fielded legacy system JTT 5.x (JTT-CP, Capabilities Package) with a brand-new codebase: JTT 6.x. The next acquisition seeks to continue development of JTT 6.x with the following potential objectives:
- Enterprise Scalability:
- Ability to deploy to various security domains and networks (NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, DoD Agency, Joint Services, & Coalition Interoperability)
- Cross-domain solutions
- Denied, degraded, intermittent, or limited (DDIL) support
- Integration/Interoperability:
- On-boarding, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) onto Government-furnished DevSecOps platform
- Integration and Automation with legacy and modernized applications within Air Force Air Operations Centers (AOCs)
- Integration with other enterprise targeting applications
- Integration with legacy and modernized enterprise intelligence databases
- Fielding/Training:
- Supporting cloud/on-prem installation and deployment of JTT within Air Force, AOC, U.S. Intelligence Community (IC), Joint, Combatant Command (CCMD), U.S. Armed Forces, Coalition, and Allied partner locations
- Remote-based and in-person administrator and user training at Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) locations
- Operations Support:
- Bug fixes
- Security patches
- Minor improvements
- Helpdesk/Exercise Support:
- Ability to support on call up to 24/7/365, when necessary
- CONUS/OCONUS in-person exercise support
- New Capability Development:
- Agile requirements to meet emerging user needs
- Building to new targeting data structures
