1. INTRODUCTION:
This Performance Work Statement (PWS) outlines the requirements for providing effective support for an existing Microsoft 365 (M365) Cloud Environment within the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), organization. The contractor will be responsible for the integration, management, security, and optimization of key services including Power Platform (PP), OneDrive for Business (ODB), SharePoint Online (SPO), AvePoint Online Services (AOS), Exchange Online, Teams, and Microsoft Copilot. The contractor will enhance collaboration, streamline workflows, and improve overall productivity.
1.1 Background:
The M365 Program Management Office (PMO) provides a suite of Microsoft 365 tools that streamline daily operations and drive process improvements. M365 prioritizes innovation and collaboration within the organization to deliver high-impact initiatives. This includes implementing organizational change management, process modernization, and best-in-class practices. The purpose of this effort is to enhance organizational efficiency and collaboration by providing exceptional support for M365 cloud services.
1.2 Scope:
The IRS, IT, Enterprise Operations, IRS Web Infrastructure Services, and M365 Program Management Branch are seeking a qualified vendor with proven expertise in managing and supporting the IRS’s existing Microsoft Cloud environment. The Contractor shall provide extensive support focusing on the integration and optimization of Power Platform, OneDrive for Business, SharePoint Online, AvePoint Online Services, Exchange Online, Teams, and Microsoft Copilot, as well as experience in migrations, security, and governance practices.
This support includes configuration management and troubleshooting of these M365 cloud platforms to ensure optimal functionality and user experience. The contractor will ensure effective utilization of these platforms promoting collaboration and productivity across the organization while maintaining compliance with best practices and security protocols. The duration of this work will encompass a base period with four option year periods.
