Objective:  Scientific service support for execution and enhancement of data capture procedures (with Guided Data Capture (GDC) software developed at NIST) for thermophysical and thermochemical properties of pure compounds, binary and ternary mixtures, alloys, and intermetallic compounds derived primarily from original sources published in the scientific literature.

The Contractor shall complete the following tasks:

1. Capture thermophysical and thermochemical data published in the open scientific literature with an emphasis on the following journals: the Journals of Molecular Liquids; the Journal of Physical Chemistry – A, B, C, and Letters; the Journal of Solution Chemistry; the Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry; the Journal of Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics. Data capture shall be done with Guided Data Capture (GDC), a NIST- developed software tool that implements data capture procedures specific to thermophysical and thermochemical properties of pure compounds, binary, and ternary mixtures.  Data shall be captured from 800 selected articles as received from the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) on a quarterly basis (200 articles/quarter).  The articles will be transmitted electronically in pdf format.
2. Develop progress reports that document the following for the previous month: Activities accomplished, deliverables completed, outstanding deliverables, any delays, reasons for delays, and recommendations that were brought to the attention of the NIST COR
3. Provide feedback to the COR about possible enhancements to GDC that would improve the data capture process.

The period of performance is a base year plus four option years.
