The intent is to establish a new one-year Firm-Fixed Priced Purchase Order for Acquisition Support Specialist for Networking Contracting Office 7 to cover Georgia, South Carolina, and Alabama. This is an unusual and compelling requirement to maintain current workloads and ensure no disruptions in services at the VAMCs, CBOCS, and Satellite facilities because of the limited number of employees within the Contracting Department.
This is an unusual and compelling requirement for acquisition support services to assist with the overwhelming workload for NCO7 as there are limited employees and the current hiring freeze across the VA that will not allow any department to onboard any new government employees even when the department is understaffed. To avoid more burnout and disruption of services, the incumbent, Veterans Management Services, INC., has been providing the services for the past seven (7) years. They also support additional NCOs and work with the VA Academy’s policy group.
