$38M CISA CB Cybersecurity Technical and Engineering Support Competition put on the back burner

Those eyeing the recompetition of this CTESS Alliant 2 Task Order with CSD/CB should note that any RFP release has been pushed back one year, with an expected release now scheduled for March of 2025.

No details were provided at this time as to the rationale for the delay, but a quick glance at the spend details for contract (70RCSA21FR0000108), which was last awarded to incumbent ECS Federal in  2021, show that the burn has been slower than initially expected.

A focus for this effort when it comes up for competition will be to provide the Cybersecurity Division’s (CSD), Capacity Building (CB) Subdivision with technical support that shall be cross-cutting along a variety of cybersecurity and engineering domains. Additionally, CB’s objectives and priorities are dynamic and complex and as such the contractor shall use strategic vision, leverage a diverse team of subject matter experts, be flexible in addressing these cybersecurity technical and engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) support requirements, and be pro-active and capable and ready to surge as requirements evolve.

More details will be provided as released by CISA.
