Gone are the days when GovCon Capture, Proposal and Growth executives could count on certain periods of the year to be slower. While many are in the thick of what has been a very busy fiscal year 2023 to date, the announcement that the RFP for this DHS requirement to provide broad-based program management and engineering support to the Office of Acquisition for the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is slated to be released on October 1st will keep Department of Homeland Security (DHS) focused business development leaders humming along this Fall as we kick off FY 2024.
Last awarded to ManTech in late 2018, the focus for the next generation of this 5-year Contractor Services Support contract will require, but is not limited to, a broad set of capabilities and disciplines, to include Program Management; Acquisition; Business Operations; Budget and Financial Management; Cost Estimating; Performance, Planning and Metrics; Logistics and Sustainment; Systems Engineering; Specialty Engineering; Operational Integration; Risk-Based Decision System; Quality Management; and Configuration Management Support.
The competition for this contract, which drew three bidders the last time it was competed, is expected to be competed once again on GSA OASIS unrestricted. Some of the known subcontractors to ManTech on the predecessor contract include Allied Mission Group, Virtus Enterprise, Decisive Analytics, Immersion, and WILLCOR.
